Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician (BT/RBT) — In-Home ABA
(Part-Time, Frederick County, MD)
Sunshine Behavioral Health, LLC is a small, BCBA-owned ABA practice serving children with autism and their families in their homes and communities. We are hiring a part-time Behavior Technician or Registered Behavior Technician to join our clinical team. You will work one-to-one with 1–3 children, closely supervised and coached by the owner, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
What you’ll do
• Run one-to-one ABA sessions in family homes using the treatment plan developed with the BCBA.
• Collect accurate data and complete your session note before leaving.
• Build warm, professional relationships with children and caregivers.
• Attend paid supervision and training each month.
Pay and schedule
• Behavior Technician: $18–$21 per hour.
• Registered Behavior Technician: $21–$30 per hour.
• Part-time, 4–15 hours per week, primarily weekday evenings after 3:00 p.m.
• W-2 employee, hourly, paid every other week by direct deposit. Maryland sick and safe leave from day one.
Who we’re looking for
• Age 18 or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent and legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Reliable car, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance for travel to client homes.
• Comfortable with physically active work, including working on the floor, moving quickly, and remaining calm during challenging behavior.
• RBT candidates must hold active BACB certification. Candidates who are not certified must commit to completing the 40-hour training and RBT exam by an agreed date; supervision and the competency assessment are provided.
• Experience with young children or developmental disabilities is a plus. Enrollment in a BCBA program is also a plus, with fieldwork supervision available for eligible staff.

Practice Operations Coordinator — ABA Practice (Part-Time, Hybrid, Maryland)
Sunshine Behavioral Health, LLC, a small BCBA-owned ABA practice in Maryland, is hiring a part-time Practice Operations Coordinator to manage core business operations so the owner can remain focused on clients, including clean insurance claims, family invoicing, session scheduling, and compliance tracking.
What you’ll do
• Submit and reconcile claims for CPT 97151–97156 to Aetna, CareFirst, Carelon/Maryland Medicaid, and Cigna through Availity; work denials and track authorizations.
• Send and collect family invoices according to our Financial Agreement.
• Keep technician and BCBA schedules aligned with authorized hours.
• Run monthly compliance checks, including OIG screening, credential expirations, payer rostering, and personnel-file completeness.
Pay and schedule
• $15–$23 per hour.
• Part-time, 5–25 hours per week.
• Hybrid position in Maryland.
• W-2 employee, hourly, paid every other week. Maryland sick and safe leave from day one.
Who we’re looking for
• At least one year of medical billing, insurance, bookkeeping, or healthcare office experience.
• Precise with numbers, dependable about completing tasks, and comfortable learning Notion, Gusto, Availity, and payer portals.
• Discreet with confidential information; HIPAA training is provided and required.
• ABA or behavioral-health billing, Maryland Medicaid/BHASO experience, or Notion and Zapier skills are a plus.
